Safari Beach Lodge, an eco lodge on the shores of Lake Malawi closest to Lilongwe, located in the secluded Senga Hills Forest Reserve, have been using this quiet time during the pandemic to focus on upgrading their lodge with some renovation work.
Safari Beach Lodge benefits from its very own private beach, but with that comes the upkeep to ensure it remains in pristine conditions. The team have renovated the beach, now with its very own area for dining and a relaxing swing looking out at the delightful and endless waters of Lake Malawi. The beach offers guests the opportunity to go swimming, kayaking and snorkelling. There are also boat trips to the nearby island which are also very popular.
The lodge has recently began work on a brand new honeymoon suite. Although in its early stages, the suite will be larger than the current rooms and be of the highest quality so newlyweds can relax, unwind and enjoy their time at Safari Beach Lodge. We will keep a close eye on this and share further information once the suite is complete!
The lodge also has some of the most beautifully kept gardens in Central Malawi and during this period improvements have been made so guests can enjoy the grounds during the stay. Despite the pandemic bringing international tourism to a halt in Malawi until recently when the borders opened and it welcomed international tourists once again, Safari Beach Lodge took the brave decision to continue to support their staff, keep them employed, and refocus their efforts to improving the lodge for the future. Though this had a huge effect on Safari Beach Lodge as a business, it is now benefitting from an increase in bookings and a promising future.
